Finding Your Chase 5/24 Status

We display your Chase 5/24 status so you can check where you stand.

Written by Emily Bingham

Chase generally declines applications for its credit cards if you’ve opened five or more new credit cards, from any issuer, in the past 24 months. This is commonly called the Chase 5/24 rule. We show your 5/24 status in MaxRewards so you can see where you stand before you apply, and avoid a declined application or an unnecessary hard inquiry on your credit.

Here’s how to find it:

  1. Go to your Dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to Card Recommendations.

  3. Tap View All.

    4. Your 5/24 Status will be at the top of the screen.

  4. Tap your 5/24 Status to see which cards are included in your 5/24 count and which ones aren’t. The number shown, such as “1 of 5 Cards”, is how many of your cards currently count toward your 5/24.

As always, if you have any questions about Chase 5/24, you can reach out to Member Support, either through the in-app chat, or by emailing support@maxrewards.com.
