There are two ways to add cards to MaxRewards, connecting a credit card account or directly adding a card. Our recommendation is to connect an account whenever possible, because you'll have access to far more features, such as:
Automatic activation of quarterly bonus categories
Automatic activation of credit card offers and deals (if opted-in)
Access to current balance, statement balance, bills and autopay status, credit limit, credit utilization, reports, transactions and deals
You can use the best card to use feature with both connected and unconnected cards.
